Why paid access?
A via ferrata is a tourist sports facility that represents a certain investment in its development and maintenance to ensure your safety. Some sites have been created in territories with very low financial resources. The village of Cairo is in this case.
We have taken the gamble of participating in the life of this territory by enhancing its rocks. Thus, the choice was made to ask for their contribution from practitioners rather than from the inhabitants via their local taxes. Also, in exchange for the pleasure you will have in riding these routes, you will contribute to their development and maintenance. Thank you!
The site access fee allows:
- regular maintenance of equipment,
- PPE rental on site,
- successive investments that make this route one of the most popular and safest in France,
- to ensure rapid management of emergency services in the event of an accident.
